I usually avoid eating at indian places. I was visiting the Indian store nearby and decided to try takeout from this restaurant(because the smell of food coming outside this restaurant was amazing). I ordered Gobhi Manchurian and Chicken 555. Both were good. si ce then I've ordered this combo twice. Next time, I would be trying something else from their menu. Definitely worth trying.

I stopped here for dinner with a colleague of mine. It was pretty empty when we first arrived, but it got busier as time went on. It had a pleasant atmosphere and the staff seemed professional and interested in making sure we were happy. I got lamb rogan josh with masala chai on the side. The drink was quite flavorful and didn’t need any extra sugar, and the lamb was wonderfully spiced. I ordered it with medium spice, and it was quite nice. My coworker who asked for a much milder spice level was unfortunately disappointed, but these are excellent curries. I was very happy with the meal, and I’d have no problem going back.

Ate here for the Saturday buffet. Had to drive 30 minutes to get there and was worth the drive. The food was spicier than the Indian places by me and I like that it was spicier. All the food we tried was wonderful and I will be coming back.

I had the tomato soup which was amazing. Along with the Curry Leaf Fried Chicken which I shared it was amazing. We also enjoyed the butter chicken dish it was amazing. Absolutely the best Indian place I have been to. If I could give it a 10/10 I would.

I recently visited an Indian buffet, and it was a great experience. Since many Indian dishes are new and unfamiliar to me, I actually prefer buffets over ordering à la carte—it’s the best way to try a wide variety of flavors. For anyone who enjoys being adventurous with food, I definitely recommend going for the buffet. Farmington has quite a few Indian restaurants, but this one stood out because the flavors and spices were on the bolder side, and little bit salty.. The Tandoori Chicken and Butter Chicken were delicious, and I was pleasantly surprised to see Fish Fry on the menu—it tasted similar to catfish, though I’m not entirely sure what fish it was. To balance out the strong spices, I finished my meal with some sweet desserts: mango mousse and strawberry mousse. It was a perfect way to end the meal. Overall, a flavorful and satisfying buffet experience.

Aahar has been one of our absolute favorite restaurants in Michigan for a buffet, and we’ve been driving all the way to Farmington Hills for years just to enjoy their amazing spread. They offer a wide variety in every category—whether it’s starters, main courses, gravies, or desserts. What sets them apart is the consistent quality and the fact that there’s truly something for everyone to enjoy. Their multiple options for both chicken and mutton are a big highlight, making it a delight for non-vegetarian food lovers. When we crave an elaborate buffet experience, Aahar is always our first choice. For vegetarians, they have plenty of delicious options, including regular favorites like lady’s finger fry, bitter gourd, or yam fry. For kids, they provide fruits, colorful papads that are a hit, naan, and noodles, ensuring the little ones are happy too. This week’s spread featured Amaravati Biryani and Goat Pulao, both of which were flavorful and satisfying. Other standout items included chicken pakora, Chettinad chicken, butter chicken, vada, samosa chaat, and a variety of other dishes. Their desserts were equally delightful, with strawberry mousse and mango custard stealing the show. The yogurt rice paired with avakkai pickle was a perfect and comforting finish to the meal. The restaurant has plenty of seating, making it comfortable even during busy hours. However, I highly recommend arriving early to fully enjoy the delicious spread, as the last serving ends at 2:45 PM, and they do not refill dishes after that. The location is quite popular, as it’s close to Indian stores, Paparoti, and the Chai place. This makes the area bustling, especially during weekends, and while the restaurant has a large parking lot, finding a spot can be a challenge during peak times. Overall, Aahar continues to impress with its variety, quality, and consistency. It’s undoubtedly a must-visit destination for anyone who enjoys a hearty Indian buffet!
